Installing ezscreen® kits for CRTs

Step Three: Installing the TouchScreen

Using a soft lint-free cloth/paper towel, thoroughly clean the screen of your CRT. Eliminate all streaks and smudges since once you press the touchscreen into place it will be very inconvenient to access the CRT screen again

Now peel the protective film off the back of the touchscreen. If necessary, wipe the back of the touchscreen to remove dust, smudges etc. using a dry lint-free towel.

Remove the green backing film from the foam tape on the back of the screen. CAREFULLY and ACCURATELY place the screen squarely over the screen face of the CRT. Be sure that the four pin connector tail is positioned at the TOP of the CRT screen (check your documentation for correct tail orientation) and that the edges of the touchscreen DO NOT extend beyond the corners of the CRT tube.

Peel the backing from the grommets and place them into position over the existing grommets in the bezel frame. Be sure you can still see the bezel's main screw holes when placing these into position.

Peel the front protective film from the touchscreen and tape the 4-pin connector tail onto the CRT tube so that it points back toward the chassis.

Pass the 4-pin connector cable from the controller box through the cable access panel located on the rear housing and attach it to the 4-pin tail on the touchscreen. The 4-pin cable/connector must be oriented in the correct direction or the screen will not function properly. When viewed from the chassis the cable will extend to the right of the connector tail, when viewed from the screen side, the cable will extend to the left
